Dominica, officially known as the Commonwealth of Dominica, is a shiny pearl lying among the island countries in the Caribbean. It is sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea to its east and west, respectively. As a member of the Commonwealth, it has a sound legal system founded on the common law. At the same time, it has also joined a number of international organizations, including the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Organization of American States (OAS), and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) as a developed country in the Caribbean region. Dominica is among the first countries to launch the citizenship by investment program, which has gained great traction since its initiation in 1991. The Dominican passport provides visa-free access to over 130 countries and regions, including the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Russia, Brazil, Hong Kong (China), and the Chinese Mainland.
